Pavers, Travertine & Porcelain

Pavers fail because of what is under them, not what is on top. We compact the base in lifts, set proper edge restraint and plan the slope so water leaves the deck instead of sitting on it.

What’s included

Every job is scoped in writing before it starts, so you know what is covered and what is not.

  • Paver decks, patios, walkways and driveways
  • Travertine and porcelain in French and running-bond patterns
  • Compacted base built in lifts
  • Edge restraint and joint sand suited to the pavers

How We Build It

Pavers, Travertine & Porcelain in Tucson

Paver decks, patios, walkways and driveways

A paver deck can create space for outdoor dining, connect a side gate to the backyard or define a seating area around a fire feature. Driveways need a surface and supporting base suited to vehicle traffic.

AYJ installs pavers, travertine and porcelain in Tucson and the surrounding service area. The estimate considers how you will use the space, its dimensions, access and the surfaces already around it.

Choose the material for the location

Concrete pavers offer many shapes, colors and patterns, with individual units that can be replaced when needed. Travertine provides natural variation. Outdoor-rated porcelain suits a more uniform, contemporary look.

Compare samples in sun and shade. Surface temperature, wet traction, maintenance and suitability for vehicle loads depend on the specific product. No paving material stays cool in every condition.

What affects the installation price?

Square footage is only part of the estimate. Removing existing concrete, excavation, base preparation, drainage, edge details and access can all change the scope.

Doorway heights and the condition of existing slabs also matter. We assess whether the project needs removal and replacement or whether an overlay is appropriate before recommending an approach.

Questions

Straight answers.

Can you install pavers over existing concrete?

Sometimes. Slab condition, drainage, added height and the selected installation system determine whether an overlay is suitable. The on-site estimate is the place to assess it.

Do you install paver driveways?

Yes. Tell us what vehicles will use the driveway so material selection and base preparation can be considered for the intended load.

Will a paver surface need maintenance?

Expect occasional cleaning and attention to the joints. Windblown seeds can grow in accumulated debris. Ask about care instructions for the specific paver, joint material and sealer selected.
